Franklin Planning is a boutique town planning consultancy with expertise in statutory planning and strategic policy focusing on Western Australian urban centres and regions, state wide. Claire Franklin, is the Principal Planner at Franklin Planning and has over 28 years experience in both State and Local Government.

Working on key projects and policies in State Government, including R Codes, Liveable Neighbourhoods and Region Schemes and Amendments, Claire has developed a thorough understanding of town planning matters and fostered excellent working relationships with key stakeholders. As a Fellow  of Planning Institute of Australia, Claire takes a keen interest in the planning profession and current issues facing the community.  Franklin Planning intends to put this experience into practice with your next planning project.

RECENT NEWS

​Franklin Planning continues to provide sub consultant services to Hames Sharley Perth on a range of current planning projects including:

• a draft scheme amendment 1(substantial) to LPS No. 6 to facilitate new precinct structure plans for Cable Beach and the old Broome townsite;
  
• a draft scheme amendment(substantial)  191 to TPS 2 to facilitate the new Rockingham Strategic Centre PSP;
• Preparations of draft LPS No. 4 for the City of Rockingham; 
• ​a range of local planning scheme amendments for regional local governments (incl. Broome, Karratha and Mt Marshall); and other planning proposals including development applications and planning submissions. 

Franklin Planning as a  sub consultant to Hame Sharley has has recently completed:

• the new Local Planning Strategy and Local Planning Scheme for Broome (LPS No. 6; 
• the City of Rockingham Local Commercial Strategy. This strategy will be a guiding document for the planning of existing and future activity centres in this rapidly growing local government area.
